I kept rolling back, restarting, even did another system restore - but only one will work on either of the audio driver updates. I decided to update the driver again to the Realtek HD, and it fixed my speakers (on my Laptop), but then the mic went back to not working. My computer is an Inspiseries, 64-bit, made in 2014. This happened when I first updated to Windows 10, but a system restore somehow fixed it - so I did that today.Īnd it did fix the issue, it switched from the Realtek HD audio driver to the generic Microsoft HD audio, but now my speakers will not work. My internal microphone, while it still technically worked, if I wanted to make a Skype call and talk I basically had to yell to barely be heard. Because of this, I decided to update all of my drivers to see if it would fix the issue. Before today, I had no issue with my sound or internal microphone, but my display driver would randomly crash since the update to Windows 10.
